IRM Laboratory :
Insecticide Resistance Monitoring Laboratory where experiment is being conducted to study the resistance frequency and resistance factor of different insect-pests to different chemicals
Bio-control Laboratory:
Mass production of bio-agents such as Trichogramma chilonis & Chrysoperla Carnea and bio-pesticides such as Trichoderma viride, Beauveria bassiana and Metarhizium anisopliae are going on in bio control laboratory with the help of modern bio-control devices like laminar flow, hot air oven, BOD incubator, UV chamber, Binocular microscope, Automatic corcyra rearing system, Egg cleaning device, Insect collection device, Centrifuge etc.

Promotion of small unit at farmers’ level with two spices of worm (Eisenia foetida, Udrilus ugenia ) for organic farming with a view to improving soil health
Drip Irrigation Unit :
Proper utilization of harvested rain water in coastal saline zone for different horticultural crops during rabi-summer season

Production and conservation of vulnerable fish spices and distribution to the farm level
Cat Fish and Ornamental Fish Breading and Culture Unit :
Production and distribution of cat fish seed to encourage paddy-cum-fish-culture in low lying area of Sundarbans. Demonstration of ornamental fish breading and culture to the rural youth and farm women for entrepreneurship development

Promotion of artificial insemination (AI) to remote island and practical demonstration for trainees. Promotion of green fodder cultivation
Black Bengal Goat Breeding Farm:
Promotion of improved breeding through use of superior breeding buck and preservation of best quality chevon and leather producing germplasm of the world. Motivate goat keepers to organize themselves into groups to establish large scale goat farm

Practical coverage on layer and broiler rearing
Poultry Hatchery Unit :
Distribution of good quality chicks to the beneficiaries
Spice Grinding Unit :
Setup for grinding of turmeric and chilli etc. produced by the farmers
Oil Mill Unit :
Established for crushing oil seed crops produced by farmers

Farmers and farm women get information about the cultivation of different crops through charts, posters and models.

Maintained for gathering technical information about agriculture and allied fields
Collaborative Work with Rural Development Sector:
1. Animal husbandry programme for women and nutrition programme for mother, children
and adolescent under WHH (Germany) project on “Improvement of standard living of
women, children and adolescent girls in disadvantaged area of Sundarban”.
2. Strengthening and empowerment of SHG under WHH and SGSY programme.
3. Animal husbandry, biogas and vermi compost unit in Sundarban are a under RIF of
NABARD.
4. Development of Impact assessment tool with 7 no. of German NGOs and 8 no. of Indian
NGOs.
